SAVE THE DATE

Save the dateが届きました。かわいいー。私たちの時はSave the Dateは送らずにwebsiteを作ってみんなにemailしたので、こういうのを見るといいなぁーと思います。

うーむ。1月にワイマールで。私たちの結婚式にオーストラリアからかけつけてくれたお友達なので行きたいのですが・・・さて、どうなるかしら？クリスマスから正月明け、もしくは年末から正月明けまで極寒のドイツへ行くことになるかどうか・・・大人の事情もいろいろあるのですが（なんだよ）秋くらいまでには予定を決めねば。

さすがに最近は本腰入れて準備に取り掛かっております。おかげでブログにアップするのに困りません。今日はディナーメニューカードです。私は一切手伝っておりませんが。えらいなぁ、アレックスは。こんな一生懸命やって。（って他人事？）私はとにかくデコレーション関係を一生懸命やっておりますんですよ、こう見えて。

Our guests are mixed of American, German, and Japanese. Then, Alex designed this cute conversation book in English/German/Japanese :) This is funny and awesome idea!!






アレックスが言語カードなるものを作ってくれました。中にはいろんな会話が英語・ドイツ語・日本語（＆ローマ字）で書かれてます。　ははー、これを使ってみんなが会話出来たら楽しい♪
中にはふざけた会話もいっぱい入ってますが。

We are receving many RSVPs from our friends! (we haven't received yet any from out of USA though, we can't wait!)

みんなからRSVPがだんだん届いてきました！みんないろんなチェックの仕方があって、見てておもしろい！でもね、メッセージを入れてくれるのは日本人だけ！ビックリ！ありがとー。

Seems like everyone (who are in US, Germany, and Japan) had received our invitations, so I can show you guys our invitation design here!! Many of our friends complimented us on the design! (Thanks all your lovely words for us :)

やっと日本にも招待状が届いたようなので、私たちの招待状のデザインをここに。アレックスが苦心してデザインし、私の指揮の元（ウソ）完成しました！返信カードは5種類の鳥がプリントされてます。みんなは何の鳥でしたか？あとは、封筒の中に貼るペーパーも2種類。地図の方はアレックスがせっせと作ってくれました。あと、全部をまとめてるリボンも2種類とステッカーと分かれてます。これはただ私が決めきれずにいろいろ買ってしまったので、何種類か作ることにしました。あとは、タグもちゃんと活用しました。表はウェディングインフォ用のブログアドレスと裏はそれぞれメッセージを書きました。フォトグラファーのマリアンもポストしてくれてます！

Then, I got a good idea!

here is my idea. instead of "table numbers", we will have "table colors". (do you like it or do you like it?) let's say "table green", "table yellow", "table red" etc, etc....

How do I do that?

I have this huge color chips box. like thousands colors. (oh no, I didn't get this box for our wedding. I got this when I was an interior design major student. It has been sitting in my room for years. Thank god, I didn't get rid of it) and YES, it's FREE. yay!

Invitations

Since many of our guests are from out of LA, we want to send invitations earlier than usual. maybe like 5-4 months ahead.
I really like letterpress invitations, then I googled once "affordable letterpress".
And result was... one website says, "looking for affordable letterpress invitations are like looking for cheap Gucci purse" or something like that, I believe...
Ok, so forget about "letterpress invitation".

招待状のことももうそろそろ考えないと・・・と焦ってます。日本やドイツのみんなにも送らないといけないので通常よりちょっと早めに送ろうかと思ってます。

にしても、高い！！レタープレスってやつ？凸版っていうの日本語で？定かじゃないけど。もー平気で1000ドル近くするんですよー。ビックリ！高いって言っても500ドルくらい？とか（いや、それでもムリだけど）思ってたら。でも友達Aちゃん曰く、あの工程＆設備にはそれぐらいかかるとのこと。

ここはやはり自分たちでデザインするしかないか…（ってか、アレックスが。私はアートディレクター役で。笑）　この図書カード風なのもかわいいし、このペーパータグはどこかには必ず使いたいなぁと思ってるんだけど。でも、これだけに全情報は収まらないからなぁ。急がねば・・・

Save the Date

Ok, here you go again... "Save the date" , this is new to me again.
My people (Japanese) don't do this thing.
We didn't want to spent money for "Save the Date", so we (I mean Alex) built a "Save the Date" website.

アメリカではSave the Dateってのを、招待状と別に送るんだってー。

私たちはここでまたプリント代をわざわざ使うのも作るのも何だった（面倒くさい～）ので、ウェブサイトを作りました。あ～Alexがウェブデザイナーで良かった。私はちんぷんかんぷんです。
