People Unite in remembrance of Japan's Disaster

People Unite in The Streets of Little Tokyo in Remembrance of Japan's Earthquake / Tsunami Disaster Free Candlelight Vigil

When: Sunday Evening - March 20 7:00pm to 7:30pm

Where: Little Tokyo in front of Japanese American National Museum (JANM)

What: Come share in a community-wide candlelight vigil in remembrance of the lost lives and unforeseeable destruction that occurred during Japan's 8.9 earthquake and powerful tsunami. A sea of candles will be accompanied by 30 min. of silence, demonstrating the importance of solidarity amongst all mankind during this world disaster.

This solemn event will begin promptly at 7 pm, with individual participants lighting their own candles. We encourage participants to bring their own candle and lighter, as they will not be supplied at the vigil. Please arrive and continue to be silent throughout this entire event.

Many of those who have lost a relative, loved-one or friend through this tragic chain of events may find some peace and comfort in this local community effort.

Who: Community organization such as the Nikkei Interfaith Group and the Nisei Week Foundation.

今週日曜日、日系人博物館前にて今回の東北関東大地震・津波の犠牲になられた方々の追悼の行事があるそうです。
参加される方は各自でキャンドル、またはライターをご持参くださいとのことです。
