I contact a lot of venue. (or you could say some.)
My dream wedding was at Ranch. But, realistically, it was impossible.
Here's a list I contacted.

We are thinking a park. like Griffith park. We need a huge tree behind us.
That's all we want... oh wait, and lawn.

First step

After people engage, what is the first step?
Finding venue? photographer? date?
Actually, we both are from foreign countries (Germany and Japan), so getting to know the "Standard" wedding of United States was the first step for us.
However, we realized that we wouldn't want to stick with "Standard".
Why should we??? Look at us! Look at this city! It is the mixed culture city!
Our goal is "OUR" wedding without spending ridiculous amount of money.
haha-, we'll see what happens...

Our fams and friends are coming from each opposite sides of the world!

結婚が決まったら最初にすることってなんでしょうか？ 式場、カメラマン、日取り？？
私たち二人とも外国人なんで取り敢えずアメリカの「普通」の結婚式を調べてみたんだけど、
まぁ、金銭的なこともあるしー、って言うんで結局は「私達らしい」結婚式をすることにしました。
一応予算は＄8,000 －果たしてこの無謀な予算でいけるのでしょうか？？？

2010年8月7日の結婚式までの8ヶ月間いろいろとアップしていきますのでチェックしてねん～。

Hello World. We're getting married.

YAY! We’re engaged! For a little over three weeks now to be exact (since Nov 14, 2009 which also marked the one year anniversary of our first kiss, awww…).

This blog will help you to get to know us, the b-rrride Kaori and the g-rrroom Alex, over the course of the next nine months (hey, are we giving birth to a wedding or what??) until OUR BIG DAY, August 7, 2010. It may also act as valve for the occasional wedding-planning rant… ;)

自己紹介がなかったので改めて書いてみます。

Kaori－36歳　松山出身
地元短大卒業後、働いたりぶらぶらしたり（←ダメ人間）
24歳くらいから、昼間は銀行員、夜は夜の蝶。　留学の為、必死。
28歳でLos Angeles DownTownにあるFIDMのインテリアmajorに留学。（2003年秋）
2年半後、なんとか無事卒業。（2005年夏）
OPT取得後、現設計事務所に就職、今に至る。
いい加減、ちゃんとした彼氏が欲しい・・・と思い続けて（アメリカで知り合った人にロクなのいなかった。というか、私がロクでもない人間だったのかもしれない）いたとき、
友達の友達がmatch.comを通して知り合った人と結婚したと聞いて、私も入会してみる。（2008年夏）
何人かと会うがロクなのいなかった。
メンバーシップ切れ3日前にかねてから目をつけていたアレックスに連絡をしてみた。（2008年秋）
あれよあれよと、2年後にめでたく結婚。（2010年夏）


Alex-33歳　東ドイツ出身
バウハウス大学建築学部マスター修了　意外に結構エリート
なぜか、建築を勉強したのに大学卒業後クルージングのエンターテイナーになる。
2006年、これまた28歳の時にロサンゼルスの某建築・webデザイン会社就職の為やってきた。
敬虔なクリスチャン。
ちゃんとした彼女を作って早く結婚したかったらしい。
match.comには私よりずーっとまえに入会。
2008年秋、私からメッセージをもらう。
あれよあれよと、2年後にめでたく結婚。
